Boards and views
One set of tasks read four ways — board, list, calendar and timeline — plus grouping, and what the header counts actually count.
A board, a list, a calendar and a timeline are four readings of the same data, not four places to keep it up to date. Switching between them changes what you see, never what is stored.
The four views

Your filters travel with you when you switch. That is deliberate: "the same question, asked a different way" is the common case.
Grouping
Both the board and the list can group by status, assignee, priority, type, milestone, sprint or a custom field. On a board, grouping picks what the columns are; on a list, it inserts collapsible headers.
A group header's count is the total in that group, not the number of rows loaded below it. Long lists load progressively, so a header reading "42" may have twelve rows under it until you scroll. The count is the honest answer to "how many are there", which is the question the header is asked.
Dragging on the board
Dragging a card to another column is a status transition, and it obeys the same rules as changing status from the task itself. If your workflow does not allow that move, the card springs back and tells you why rather than silently accepting an illegal state.
Bulk edits
Select several tasks in the list view and act on all of them at once — reassign, reprioritise, move to a sprint, add a label. Faster than opening six tasks, and it writes one activity entry per task rather than a burst of notifications per field.
Making a view stick
Any view plus its filters is a URL. Copy the address bar and you have shared exactly what you are looking at. Save it and it becomes a named view you can pin to the sidebar — see Filters and saved views.
