Async standups
Written check-ins instead of a daily meeting — with a draft that already knows what you did, and a history that stays honest about the past.
A standup in Krrim is written, not spoken. Each person answers three questions and the team reads the board when they get to it — no meeting, no timezone argument, and a record that is still there next month.
Your entry
Standup in the sidebar. You get a draft already filled in with what Krrim can see:
- Yesterday — what you actually moved, drawn from your task activity
- Today — what is currently assigned to you and in progress
- Blockers — your tasks that are waiting on something
Edit it and submit. Nothing is posted on your behalf until you do.
The draft is honest about being a draft. An entry Krrim assembled is labelled as such until you submit it. That label matters — a teammate reading the board needs to know whether they are reading what you said or what the system guessed, and a machine-written summary presented as a person's own words is worse than no summary at all.
If you have nothing to report, Skip. A skipped day is recorded as skipped rather than silently blank, so nobody has to work out whether you were away.
The worklist
Beside each person's entry is their worklist — everything they actually have open, across every project, not only what they mentioned. It answers "what is this person holding right now", which the entry itself often understates.
Two things worth knowing:
- Whose tasks these are comes from their project memberships; which of those you can see is applied after. If some are in projects you are not in, you are told how many are hidden rather than shown a quietly shortened list.
- Blockers and overdue items sort first, by deadline. The most overdue thing is at the top, because that is the row that needs a decision today.
History
Past standups are kept. Open any date and read what the team said then.
A past board shows what was written, never a recomputation. "Yesterday" can be reconstructed from activity history, but "Today" and "Blockers" describe current state — regenerating those for a past date would put today's in-progress work under an August heading. That is not stale, it is false.
So a past day shows the entry that was saved, or nothing at all. For the same reason, the live worklist appears on today's board only.
Blockers view
Standup → Blockers collects everything currently declared as blocking, across the whole team. This is the part worth reading every day even when you skip the rest — it is the only section where somebody else's answer might change what you do next.
Settings
Admins can set which days standups run, when the day opens and closes, and whether reminders go out. Settings → Standups.
