Deleting your account
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Two different things can be deleted — your personal account, and an entire workspace. They have different consequences, so it is worth being clear which you mean.
1. Deleting your account
This removes you from Krrim. Any workspace you belong to continues to exist for everyone else in it.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. If you own a workspace with other members in it, you will be asked to transfer ownership first — a workspace cannot be left without an owner.
What is removed
- Your profile, name, email address and credentials
- Your notification and interface preferences
- Your sessions, everywhere
What stays, and why
- Tasks you created and comments you wrote. They belong to the workspace, not to you, and removing them would silently rewrite a shared record that other people are relying on.
- Time entries already counted in reports and invoices.
- Audit records, which exist precisely so that history cannot be altered after the fact.
These are anonymised where the workspace no longer needs to identify you. If you need workspace content itself deleted, that is your organization’s decision to make — see section 3.
2. Closing a workspace
This deletes everything: all projects, tasks, documents, attachments, reports and memberships. Only an owner can do it.
Go to Settings → General → Close workspace. You will be asked to type the workspace name, because there is no undo once the window in section 4 has passed.
Export first. Tasks export to CSV and reports export individually, or you can pull everything through the API. Do this before you close, not after.
3. If you are not the owner
If you are an employee or guest of an organization and want workspace content removed, your organization’s administrator is the right contact — they control that data and we act on their instructions, not ours.
You can always delete your own account, as in section 1, regardless of what the workspace does.
4. Timing
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Account deleted | Immediate. Sessions end everywhere at once |
| Workspace closed | Access ends immediately; data is retained for 30 days |
| After 30 days | Workspace data is deleted from the Service |
| Backups | Expire on their own cycle, within 30 days |
| Billing records | Retained as long as tax law requires |
Within the 30-day window, email support@krrim.com and we can restore a closed workspace. After it, we cannot — the data is gone, and content sitting in an unexpired backup is not restored to the Service.
5. Cancelling a subscription is not deleting
Cancelling stops future charges and returns the workspace to the free plan at the end of the paid period. Nothing is deleted, and you can come back to it. See the refund policy.
6. Questions
For anything about deletion or data retention, write to privacy@krrim.com. The privacy policy sets out the full retention schedule.
