Your filters, grouping and sort come with you when you switch. Asking the same question a different way is the common case.
Board
Columns are statuses. Drag a card to move it — and the drag obeys your workflow, so an illegal transition springs back and says why.
List
For scanning a lot at once. Sort on any column, show custom fields as columns, and select several rows for a bulk edit.
Calendar
Anything driven by dates — due dates, releases, recurring work. Drag to reschedule.
Timeline
Sequence and overlap, with dependency links drawn in so you can see what is waiting on what.

Filters that compose
Status, assignee, priority, type, label, milestone, sprint, due date and any custom field. Most accept several values, which read as "or".
Grouping
Group by status, assignee, priority, type, sprint or a custom field. On a board that picks the columns; on a list it inserts collapsible headers.

Honest counts
A group header counts everything in the group, not the rows loaded so far. Long lists load as you scroll; the number does not lie in the meantime.
Questions people ask
- Can each project have different columns?
- Yes. Statuses and the workflow between them belong to the project, so a support project and an engineering project can look nothing alike.
- Does dragging a card skip our process rules?
- No. A drag is a status transition and obeys the same workflow rules as changing status from the task itself. Illegal moves are refused and explained.
- How many tasks can a list handle?
- Lists render progressively, so large projects stay responsive. Group counts show the true total regardless of how much has loaded.
